No Association Between RA, Air Pollution

Trevor Stokes writing in Reuters reported on a study published in the journal Arthritis Care & Research that showed there was no association between air-pollution

rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and air pollution exposure.

Researchers arrived at that conclusion after examining data from the Nurses’ Health Study that followed 111,425 US women over three decades starting in 1976

This is good news.  Nonetheless, there are environmental links to RA.

One prime example is cigarette smoking.
